We are a bunch of students from the British University in Egypt and we are raising the debate of the idea of conscription, whether military service should be compulsory or not.
Information:
Conscription is the mandatory enlistment in a country’s armed forces, and is sometimes referred to as “the draft.”. The origins of military conscription date back thousands of years to ancient civilizations and almost all European countries today except for the UK, consider the military service as an obligation for men aging from 18-25 years old.
